We are proud to have 5 veterinarians on our staff with over 90 years of combined experience. This allows our
veterinarians to develop particular interests in veterinary care. This also means that a second opinion is only seconds
away for those complicated cases.

Dr. William Wright graduated from the University of Missouri in 1975. He founded Howdershell Animal Clinic in 1981. His
special interests include exotics and performance dogs. He has been active with field trial dogs and the Iditarod race in
Alaska.
Dr. John Williams graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1980. He has been with Howdershell Animal Clinic since
1989. His special interests include opthamology and internal medicine.
Dr. Nick Toepke graduated from the University of Missouri in 1999 and has been at Howdershell Animal Clinic since then.
His interests include exotic pets and orthopedics.
Dr Kim Arnsmeyer graduated from the Univesity of Missouri in 2001 and has been with Howdershell Animal Clinic since then.
Her interests include dermatolgy and behavior modification.
Dr, Phyllis Thies graduated from the Univesity of Missouri in 1996. She has been at Howdershell Animal Clinic since 1998.
Her interests include dermatology and endocrinology.
